Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a Manager of Central Sterile Processing to oversee the daily operations of the SPD, including staffing, services, quality and finance, while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and department managers to support new services and efficient operations, with a focus on training and competency of personnel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; associate or baccalaureate degree.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience and 1 year in a management position.
• Two years of sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates SPD operations and readiness for regulatory surveys.
• Prepares and manages annual capital and operating budgets; report variances to VP of Operations.
• Facilitates collaboration between physicians, nursing staff and managers to support new services.
• Ensures staff orientation, training and competency reviews.
• Serves as a resource on sterilization, decontamination and instrument handling.
• Assesses space, facilities, equipment and staffing needs.
