Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a Manager of Central Sterile Processing to lead the SPD, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive efficient operations. You will manage staff, budgets, and cross-department collaboration to support surgical services.

Ideal candidates have nursing background preferred, with leadership experience in sterile processing and a strong focus on quality and safety. This role reports to Operations leadership and participates in capital planning.

Qualifications

• Oversee SPD daily operations including staffing, services, quality and finances.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and standards.
• Prepare and maintain departmental budget; communicate variances to leadership.
• Coordinate collaboration between physicians, nursing staff and department managers.
• Orient, train and supervise personnel; complete yearly competency assessments.
• Advise VP of Operations on space, facilities, equipment and staffing needs.
• Serve as a resource on sterilization, decontamination, and surgical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SPD activities and ensure readiness for inspections.
• Prepare budget and monitor variances.
• Foster collaboration to support new services and operations.
• Ensure staff orientation and ongoing competency.
• Provide subject matter expertise in sterilization processes.
