Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager who is a Registered Nurse or CRCS/Scrub Technician to lead the SPD and set quality criteria for patient care on the clinical units.

The role directs and guides ancillary personnel, collaborates with health professionals, and ensures a safe, organized environment with high-level disinfection expertise across Baptist and Gulf Breeze campuses.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
• Technical Diploma/Certificate in Surgical Technology is required.
• 5 years operating room nursing leadership experience with major inpatient/outpatient surgery.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sterile Processing Department operations and staffing.
• Ensure department delivers quality services per policies and standards.
• Oversee fiscal management and resource utilization of the department.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and evaluate SPD staff.
• Coordinate with hospital leadership on operational needs and efficiency.
• Remain adaptable during severe weather or disasters as required.
