Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Manager Sterile Processing to lead the SPD, ensuring safe, efficient processing, case carts and inventory control. You will monitor department performance, drive quality and patient safety, and guide staff toward operational excellence in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role emphasizes staffing, budget adherence, coaching, policy development, and regulatory compliance to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or additional four years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Four years of progressively responsible sterile supply and processing experience.
• Experience in a surgery environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily SPD staff activities and department operations.
• Provide leadership, staff guidance, coaching and performance evaluations.
• Oversee staffing decisions, budgeting, and policy implementation for safety and compliance.
• Ensure quality, productivity and customer/patient satisfaction in SPD services.
