Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator to prep, sterilize, and assemble equipment for surgeries and procedures across multiple reprocessing sites. The role ensures aseptic delivery of sterile instruments and serves as a clinical liaison between ORs and offsite locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred.
• CRCST certification or CSPDT certification required within 6 months of hire if not already held.
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2–4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, assemble, and/or clean hospital equipment for surgeries and procedures.
• Ensure sterilized instruments and supplies are safe for reuse and delivered aseptically.
• Act as clinical liaison between Operating Rooms and CSS offsite locations to track and allocate sterilized instruments.
• Procure and standardize instrument trays across the Enterprise.
• Operate 24/7 across multiple reprocessing sites within the Health System (Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, etc.).
