Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator for University Hospital's Sterile Supply Department. The role coordinates daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing, ensuring sterilized instruments are available and aseptically packaged for use across the Enterprise.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST certification through IAHCSMM or CSPDT certification through CBSPD required upon hire, or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate efficient case flow.
• Assemble, sterilize and package instruments and supplies for aseptic use; ensure sterilized equipment is ready for use across sites.
• Serve as clinical liaison between the Operating Rooms and the offsite CSS location to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation enterprise-wide.
• Procure, standardize, and organize instrument trays across the Enterprise; support process improvements across reprocessing sites.
