Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee sterilization, assembly and delivery of surgical instruments across the Enterprise. The role ensures sterile, functional supplies are available for procedures and supports cross-department coordination between the Operating Rooms and Sterile Processing.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or possess the G.E.D.
• At least two years of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST certification or CSPDT certification required within 6 months of hire or obtain certification thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate efficient case flow and decontamination, assembly and sterilization of reprocessed surgical inventory.
• Assist in projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care.
• Order, procure, and organize instrument trays across the Enterprise.
• Support 24/7 operations across multiple reprocessing sites within the Health System.
