Job summary

Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will sterilize, assemble and store medical supplies and equipment and collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff to prepare instrument sets and case carts.

The role supports a smooth, continuous workflow and delivers reliable, high-quality service to surgical teams.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program required.
• If CST certificate not held, 3 years Central Sterile experience required.
• CCST or CST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in a timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous workflow, delivering superior customer service.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED

Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech

Central Sterile experience (3 years) in lieu of CST Certificate

CCST or CST certification preferred
