Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards in set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilization of instruments. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to prepare sterile instrument sets and case carts.

The role emphasizes timely service, accurate processing, and support for a smooth surgical workflow in a busy hospital environment. CST certification is preferred; a GED or high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech program required.
• In lieu of CST certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.
• No experience required if CST certification is held.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and case carts.
• Supports consistent workflow and superior customer service.
