Job summary

Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will prepare sterile instrument sets and case carts while ensuring timely, accurate service for the Perioperative Nursing team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and CST tech certification (preferred) or 3 years of Central Sterile experience. Certification as CCST/CST preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Central Sterile Technician certification preferred or CST certification required in lieu.
• 3 years of Central Sterile experience required, unless CST certification is held.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in a timely manner.
• Perform sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts.
• Assist in maintaining continuous workflow and provide superior customer service.
