Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.

You will perform sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies, collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff, and help maintain a smooth workflow while delivering superior customer service.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Graduate of Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required, or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in Central Sterile or Surgical Tech required (or in lieu of program).

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment.
• Maintain workflow and provide superior customer service.
