Job summary

TSI Raleigh, LLC. is seeking a Home Infusion Compounding Technician to assist with the preparation of sterile infusions and patient supply assembly under the supervision of a pharmacist.

The role requires strict adherence to USP 797, SOPs, and regulatory standards, with focus on safety, accuracy, and timely patient care. The technician will maintain documentation, manage inventory, and support patient follow-up, ensuring continuous treatment and quality control in a fast-paced home infusion

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of pharmacy technician training preferred.
• Experience in compounding or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must be registered with the State Board of Pharmacy if applicable in state(s) of service area(s).
• Meet all State Board of Pharmacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding per USP 797.
• Follow all SOPs, USP 797, and Board of Pharmacy regulations and requirements.
• Clean all work surfaces, equipment, floors, ceilings, and walls according to USP 797 and SOPs.
• Maintain sterile compounding competencies.
• Ensure drugs are prepared in appropriate containers that are properly labeled.
• Monitor and document environmental conditions daily and notify the PIC if readings are out of range.
• Maintain On Track Task Logs daily.
• Manage timely refills to avoid interruptions in patient treatments.
• Upload delivery tickets into Care Tend and confirm delivery tickets when a signed Admission Agreement is on file.
• Conduct patient follow-up assessment calls and document thoroughly.
• Order medications to keep inventory stocked and meet patient needs.
• Enter supplies into the Vital Systems inventory system.
• Properly store drugs and supplies to uphold safety standards.
• Routinely inspect shelves and reorder as needed to prevent shortages.
• Conduct monthly inventory of ambulatory infusion supplies.
• Report misconduct or unethical activities to Human Resources.
• Build positive relationships with clients through attentive, friendly, proactive support.
• Exhibit good written and verbal communication with colleagues, supervisors, patients, and referral sources.
• Assist with quality control and improvement activities as directed by the PIC.
• Report product incidents as required by company policy.
• Work as a team with other employees to complete tasks.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
