Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Sterile Products Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding team. You will assist in preparing compounded items under pharmacist supervision, ensure accuracy in compounding records, and help with inventory, billing and patient communications.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and MA Board of Registration certification, with at least 1 year of related experience. Epic and MS Office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active state certification with Board of Registration in Pharmacy in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems; Microsoft Office and web-based applications mentioned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, store and distribute compounded and non-compounded items.
• Inventory control; perform compliance audits and questionnaires with patients.
• Process insurance billing and patient collections.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Maintain pharmacy records and manage ordering/receiving.
• Follow all company and department policies and procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and assist with QA activities.
• Calibrate, operate and maintain compounding equipment.
• Ensure compounds are prepared per records and master formulas.
• Document records clearly, legibly and timely.
• Communicate with patients/caregivers to assist with medication procurement.
• Label, pack and store products prior to shipment to patients.
