Job summary

Strive Pharmacy in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will prepare patient-specific sterile medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires AZ Tech license and national certification, at least 1 year of sterile compounding experience, and a strong grasp of aseptic technique and GMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active AZ Pharmacy Technician License and national certification (NHA or PTCB) required.
• At least 1 year of sterile compounding experience in high-volume setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, and/or cGMP FDA 503B guidelines.
• Strong pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, aseptic technique, and sterile compounding skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate small, specialized laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded medications following approved formulations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, supervisors and QA teams to ensure compliance.
• Maintain calibration logs for scales and equipment and document procedures.
• Maintain cleanroom cleanliness and proper waste disposal.
• Monitor inventory and identify supply needs.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and ongoing compliance training.
