Job summary

Health First is seeking an Admixture Technician I to support Admixture room operations and medication preparation under supervision. The role emphasizes sterile admixture tasks, regulatory adherence, and precise execution to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include IV/IM/SC admixtures, aseptic technique, inventory management, documentation, and collaboration with pharmacists and nursing staff. The position follows a full-time schedule with day shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Florida Pharmacy Technician registration or Florida Pharmacy intern registration required.
• Knowledge of computer and technology skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform IV, IM, and SC admixtures under supervision using aseptic technique.
• Follow USP guidelines and safety protocols for sterile compounding.
• Maintain cleanroom and environmental controls; assist with monitoring.
• Complete logs, QA records, inventory, and related documentation accurately.
• Assist with inventory management: stocking, labeling, storing, removing outdated meds.
• Communicate with pharmacists, technicians, and nursing staff to coordinate workflow.
• Escalate issues and discrepancies to leadership when needed.
• Organize and replenish emergency medication boxes and supplies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the EMR for treatment plans and medication queues.
• Keep admixture area clean and inspection-ready, restocking as needed.
