Job summary

Health First seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to deliver advanced expertise in sterile compounding (IVs) and medication history support, while overseeing ADC systems such as Pyxis. The role includes training pharmacy technicians and trainees to ensure growth and adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities encompass inventory management, collaboration with clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with Florida and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months' experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Florida tech license active registration required.
• Sterile compounding proficiency and pharmacy workflow knowledge.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and pharmacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounded medications per USP standards.
• Assists with medication history gathering during admission and reconciliation.
• Maintains ADC systems and monitors issues and discrepancies.
• Provides education and coaching to trainees and associates.
• Manages inventory with cycle counts and expiration tracking.
• Supports safe, high-quality workflows with cross-functional staff.
• Assists leadership by coaching new associates in pharmacy functions.
