Advocate Health Care seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, labeling, and handling hazardous drugs. You will participate in inventory, accurate documentation, and basic immunization activities under supervision, with potential training on 3rd-party billing.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT) within 18 months from start date.
• No work experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately selects, prepares, and labels medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assists with medication distribution tasks and screening calls with proper etiquette.
• Participates in inventory control, outdate checking, and daily procurement.
• Performs nonsterile compounding and sterile IV admixture where applicable with proper USP standards.
• Operates an Advocate Health-owned vehicle to deliver medications and supplies as required.
