Job summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking a STEPS Warehouse Worker for the Supply Center in Lexington, KY. You will help ensure efficient warehouse operations, handle order preparation, receiving, stocking, and loading/unloading duties, with potential light computer entry as needed.

Ideal candidates will have physical stamina for lifting up to 50 pounds and a willingness to work Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m., with some evenings or weekends. This temporary, full-time role supports campus operations.

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds, standing, and walking.

Shift Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. with occasional evenings and weekends. Possibly designated a plan B employee during severe weather.

Job Summary This position is in a warehouse environment and helps to ensure that the Supply Center functions, trucking efforts, and the warehouse organization operate at maximum efficiency. You will provide essential service and support to the Supply Center while maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and orderly condition of the warehouse.

Duties may include…

Interaction with internal and external customers takes place daily, so good customer service skills and attention to detail are key to this position.
