Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in state they practice (or compact)
• 1 year RN experience required
• ACLS preferred at hire
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes data, creates plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates effectiveness
• Administers medications in a safe manner per policies
• Serves as point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments
• Acts as patient safety advocate by participating in quality improvement in the department
• Collaborates with spiritual care, palliative care, and ethics for patient advocacy
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide clinical decisions on the unit
