Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver comprehensive patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, and evaluating care using the nursing process across the lifespan.

Responsibilities include medication administration, care coordination, and active participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Strong communication with patients, families, and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact
• BLS required; ACLS preferred (ACLS must be obtained within 6 months)
• CRCN, PCCN, NIH Stroke Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications safely per practice standards and policies.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments and disciplines.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Provide patient and family education and advocate for patient choices.
