Job summary

Washington State University in Pullman seeks a Tutoring and Peer Mentoring Coordinator within the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture to lead the VCEA Tutoring Center and supervise undergraduate tutors and peer mentors. You will partner with faculty to align tutoring with curriculum and drive data-informed retention efforts.

This full-time, permanent role supports broader student success initiatives, including recruitment, events, and programs across the college.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of professional work experience in student services or related field.
Experience leading or directing the work of others.
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with STEM or engineering curricula.
Experience planning events or creating marketing materials and social media content.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the VCEA Tutoring Center and oversee tutors and peer mentors.
Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate staff.
Partner with faculty to align tutoring with curriculum and student needs.
Drive data-informed retention efforts across courses and programs.
Support recruitment, career services, events, and other student success initiatives as needed.
