Job summary

The California State University, Bakersfield Auxiliary for Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) seeks a structured, student-focused professional to support NSME career and internship initiatives on campus in Bakersfield.

You will guide students on career opportunities, review applications, and help develop interview skills while coordinating with CECE. This on-site role requires strong communication and organizational skills to connect employers with CSUB students.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college in a relevant field with some experience in student services.
• Demonstrated customer service, diplomacy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide information on career opportunities and job application processes in collaboration with CECE.
• Assist with resume writing and cover letter development for CSUB students.
• Create and distribute bi-weekly career newsletters.
• Coordinate career and internship workshops and seminars with industry support.
• Deliver presentations at orientations and NSME courses.
