CSUB Auxiliary for Sponsored Programs Administration seeks a Coordinator to guide NSME students toward career opportunities and internship programs. You will work with CECE to review applications, offer interview practice, and help develop communication skills in STEM contexts.
You will also light up industry partnerships, coordinate newsletters and workshops, and present at orientations and NSME courses to support student success. Prior experience in student services is valued.

The College of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering (NSME) develops and implements grant‑funded initiatives that strengthen STEM education, workforce development, and regional partnerships across K‑12 schools, community colleges, industry, and university programs. These initiatives increase student access, persistence, experiential learning, transfer success, and career readiness while supporting California's workforce priorities.
Under general supervision of the Director of Grants and Outreach, the position is responsible for providing guidance and information on career opportunities, job application review, interview practice, and communication skills development in collaboration with the Center for Career Education and Community Engagement, but specific to STEM fields.
Equivalent to graduation from a four‑year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job‑related field, and some experience in student services. Specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the appropriate knowledge, and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis. Equivalent amounts of graduate level job‑related education may be substituted for the required experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: LIGHT WORK - involves mainly sitting, up to 25% standing or walking; lifting medium weight objects limited to 25 pounds.
