Job summary
CSUB Auxiliary for Sponsored Programs Administration seeks a Coordinator to guide NSME students toward career opportunities and internship programs. You will work with CECE to review applications, offer interview practice, and help develop communication skills in STEM contexts.
You will also light up industry partnerships, coordinate newsletters and workshops, and present at orientations and NSME courses to support student success. Prior experience in student services is valued.
Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in behavioral sciences, public/business administration or a related field, with some experience in student services.
- Experience substituted on a year-for-year basis; graduate level education may substitute for experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide information on career opportunities, resume review, interview practice, and communication skills development with CECE.
- Assist with industry-specific resume writing and cover letter assistance with CECE.
- Create and distribute bi-weekly career and internship newsletters.
- Assist with developing and hosting career and internship workshops each semester; coordinate seminars with industry support.
- Attend and present at new student orientations and NSME courses and events.
