California State University, Bakersfield invites applications for an Internship, Employer Engagement & Student Professional Development Coordinator. This on-site, full-time role supports college career readiness initiatives, internships, and partnerships with employers across Kern County.

Responsibilities include advising students, coordinating internship operations, and delivering workshops to enhance professional skills, LinkedIn, Handshake, and related platforms usage.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field; advanced degrees may substitute for experience.
• Experience in counseling, advising, or student services is expected.
• Knowledge of internship programs, career readiness, and employer engagement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the College internship program, including student intake and tracking.
• Advise students individually and in groups on internship exploration, applications, and workplace readiness.
• Develop and deliver workshops and career-readiness programming related to internships and professional development.
• Maintain records in accordance with university policy and confidentiality requirements.
