Diamondback Firearms, LLC is seeking a Steel Welder Level III to fabricate and weld steel components for firearms manufacturing. The role requires interpreting weld plans, selecting welding processes, and maintaining quality in a production setting.

You will perform MIG and TIG welds in various positions, inspect bead size, repair parts, and ensure proper fit in fixtures. Overtime and first shift hours apply; background and ATF firearm possession requirements apply.

• Able to lift 50 lbs.

• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces and assemble in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, tip, filler rod, and flux per welding spec.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on welding equipment.

The Steel Welder Level III is responsible for the fabrication and welding of steel.

Position Qualifications/Requirements

• Ability to pass weld test
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Preferred Skills

• At least 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
• At least 5 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• Forklift certification

CORE DUTIES

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures
• Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

Special Requirements

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
