Job summary

Diamondback Firearms, LLC is seeking a Steel Welder Level I to fabricate and weld steel parts. You will perform MIG and TIG welds, inspect bead size, and repair damaged components. The role requires precise measuring, proper setup, and adherence to welding chart specifications in a production environment.

The position is first shift, with potential overtime. Candidates must pass a weld test, meet ATF-related firearm possession requirements, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in various positions.
• Examine welds for bead size and specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces; assemble in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, tip, filler rod, and flux per chart specs.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.

JOB TITLE: Steel Welder Level I

Job Summary

The Steel Welder Level I is responsible for the fabrication and welding of steel.

Position Qualifications/Requirements

• Ability to pass weld test
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Preferred Skills

• At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
• At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• Forklift certification

CORE DUTIES

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures
• Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

Special Requirements

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
