Job summary

Diamondback Firearms is seeking a MIG/TIG Welder Level I to fabricate and weld aluminum and stainless steel parts for our production line in New York. You will perform MIG and TIG welds, inspect bead size and tolerances, and repair damaged components while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements include at least 1 year reading a tape measure, ability to pass weld tests, and lifting up to 50 lbs. 1st shift, weekdays 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.; overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examine welds for bead size and other specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or material type and thickness.
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

Job Summary

The MIG/TIG Welder Level I is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel.

Position Qualifications / Requirements

• Ability to pass weld test.
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Preferred Skills

• At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances.
• Forklift certification.

Core Duties

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examine welds for bead size and other specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or material type and thickness.
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

Hours

• 1st shift position.
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed.

Special Requirements

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
