Job summary

Diamondback Airboats, LLC is seeking a Steel Welder Level II to fabricate and weld steel components. This 1st shift role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Candidates must pass a weld test and meet the ability to lift 50 lbs. Background and drug screen plus ATF firearm requirements apply. Responsibilities include MIG/TIG welding in all positions, inspecting bead size, repairing parts, and ensuring proper fit using clamps and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in all positions.
• Examine weld bead size and specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces; assemble in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, tip, filler rod, flux per welding chart.
• Maintain and repair welding equipment.

JOB TITLE: Steel Welder Level II

The Steel Welder Level II is responsible for the fabrication and welding of steel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass weld test
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS

• At least 3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
• At least 3 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• Forklift certification

CORE DUTIES

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
