JOB TITLE: MIG/TIG Welder Level I
JOB SUMMARY

The MIG/TIG Welder Level I is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to pass weld test
  • At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
  • Forklift certification
CORE DUTIES
  • Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
  • Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures
  • Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material
  • Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding
HOURS
  • 1st shift position
  • Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Overtime as needed
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
