Job summary

Diamondback Airboats, LLC is seeking a Steel Welder Level III to fabricate and weld steel components on a 1st shift in Florida. The role requires MIG/TIG welding, reading measurements, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Overtime is available as needed.

Ideal candidates will have experience and be capable of passing weld tests, with preferred background in production environments and certifications such as forklift operation. Benefits are provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler rod, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.

JOB TITLE: Steel Welder Level III

JOB SUMMARY

The Steel Welder Level III is responsible for the fabrication and welding of steel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass weld test
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS

• At least 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
• At least 5 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• Forklift certification

CORE DUTIES

• Perform MIG and TIG welds on steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
