Job summary

Kenwal Steel Corporation seeks a Slitter Helper to support the Slitter Operator in the safe and efficient processing of steel coils at our Lebanon, TN facility. You will help set up the slitting machine, monitor production, and ensure coils meet exact dimensions and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Metal fabrication or steel processing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Slitter Operator in setting up and operating the slitting machine to cut steel coils to specified dimensions.
• Monitor the slitting process to ensure quality and adjust as needed.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of slitting equipment for safety and performance.
• Transport steel coils and finished products using approved equipment and practices.
• Keep work area clean and compliant with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot operational issues during slitting.
• Assist in inventory tracking and reporting discrepancies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and quality.
