Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders or verbal instructions.
• Meet or exceed productivity targets safely.
• Plan and organize work, both independently and in a team.
• Develop working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques.
• Maintain inter-department communication on routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Possibility to exhibit customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Move steel to/from storage or production areas using manual handling or equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet and operate in varying weather conditions.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and load configurations for routes.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good condition.
• Identify safety issues with equipment and report promptly.
• Attend required company meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
