Qualifications

• Ability to correctly read work orders or instructions to determine material or equipment needs.
• Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels.
• Ability to plan and organize work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
• Maintain inter‑department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety methods and report unsafe conditions.
• Move steel to/from storage, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using hand tools or equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet; climb ladders and operate PPE.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and configure loads for routes.
• Maximize trailer load capacity while maintaining safety.
• Maintain and safely operate tools and equipment (measuring tools, pallets, forklift, crane).
• Identify safety issues with equipment and report promptly.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
