Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. is seeking a motivated material handler to join our team. This role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, achieving daily productivity goals, and supporting quality requirements.

You will safely move steel to and from storage or production areas, operate forklift and overhead crane, attach slings, and help with load planning and securing shipments. The position requires physical work in all weather, reading work orders, teamwork, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Ability to correctly read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
• Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
• Ability to develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work at all times and report any unsafe conditions.
• Safely move steel to/from storage or production areas using hand, forklift, or crane.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 25 feet and navigate stairs and ladders.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including tapes, calipers, forklift, overhead crane.
• Determine safety issues pertaining to equipment and report them.
• Attend required company meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
