Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking an Afterschool Program Educator to deliver 4-H-based after-school programming for youth in grades K-12, across multiple districts. The role emphasizes STEAM education, collaboration with teachers, and program evaluation.

Part-time, 20 hours/week, with benefits for eligible employees. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, delivering established curricula, and providing staffing as needed for after-school programs

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education (GED/High School Diploma and 1 year transferrable/program experience).
• Experience relevant to the role.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and the ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
• Ability to meet all SACC and OCFS licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide 4-H after-school programming in established curriculum.
• Teach STEAM activities and other 4-H programming to youth in grades K-12.
• Assist in lesson plan creation and delivery of educational programs.
• Support teachers during the academic study portion of the program.
• Coordinate with school personnel to address youth needs and interests.
