Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking an Afterschool Program Educator to support the 4-H Afterschool Program for grades K–12. The role is part-time, 20 hours weekly, with an hourly rate of $20 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include delivering STEAM-informed programming, lesson-plan development assistance, collaboration with school staff, and coordination of outreach and marketing efforts while maintaining safety and licensing

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education required.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License and travel ability.
• Ability to meet SACC and OCFS licensing requirements (TB test, exam, training).
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and evaluate 4-H after‑school programs and STEAM content.
• Assist with lesson planning and teaching innovative programs.
• Collaborate with school personnel to integrate instruction.
• Provide staffing for other 4-H after‑school programs.
• Support program outreach, marketing, and reporting efforts.
• Coordinate transportation of participants and materials when needed.
• Participate in required licensing trainings and professional development.
