Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking an Afterschool Program Educator to provide 4-H youth development opportunities for K-12 students in multiple districts. You will deliver established 4-H curricula in STEAM areas and support teachers during academic study portions.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent and may involve evenings/weekends, with travel as needed and the ability to meet OCFS licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education required; GED/HS with experience may be considered.
• Experience relevant to after-school programming or youth development.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to meet OCFS licensing requirements.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver after-school programs using established 4-H curricula in STEAM topics.
• Assist with lesson planning and co-teach with teachers during study periods.
• Provide staffing coverage for Jefferson County Afterschool Programs.
• Collaborate with program staff and school personnel to support youth development.
