Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County is seeking a part-time Afterschool Program Educator to deliver 4-H STEAM programming to youth in K-12 across several school districts. The role involves lesson planning, collaboration with teachers, and multi-media instruction.

A valid NYS driver’s license and relevant experience are required. The position offers 20 hours per week at $20.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance,

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education is required.
• Experience relevant to the role is required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to meet travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilize established program resources and materials to provide information and resources to program participants in 4-H programming.
• Teach a menu of existing educational programs and activities (STEAM) for after-school programming.
• Assist in creating lesson plans and teaching innovative educational programs as assigned.
• Deliver 4-H after-school programs via multi-media and assist during academic study portions.
• Coordinate with school personnel to address needs and interests of participating youth.
• Provide staffing and/or programming coverage for other Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County After-School Programs.
