Job summary

Mesquite Gaming is seeking a seasoned fry/broiler cook to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for broiling steaks, chops, poultry, and fish, and ensuring proper plating and presentation for guests.

This role requires at least two years of fry/broiler cook experience, thorough knowledge of kitchen operations, and the ability to adapt priorities and manage time during peak hours. English literacy is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years as fry cook or broiler cook required.
• Thorough knowledge of kitchen operations, broilers, and roasting stations required.
• Experience in high-volume broiler ordering.
• Experience in food preparation and food service.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to change priorities with short notice and manage time during peak hours.
• Good eye/hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• 1. Set-up and maintain a clean kitchen and food service areas.
• 2. Proper and efficient cooking procedures including, but not limited to: preparing raw or cooked food items (fish, poultry, meat, fruits, vegetables etc.) to company standards and expectations, and timely service of finished product to guests.
• 3. Ensure that all Health and Safety standards are met for assigned work areas.
• 4. Prepare steaks, chops and other food items as ordered.
• 5. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
