Job summary

LNS Group is seeking a Mechanical Technician to prepare and ship packages, assemble workholding components, and support on-site installations and repairs of equipment.

The role requires reading assembly drawings, performing basic fabrication and hose assembly tasks, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery. Travel for field service is anticipated, with safety and accuracy as top priorities.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent; 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
• Experience with MRP or manufacturing software.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory of standard workholding components by checking inventory levels and preparing requisitions for purchase of stock components.
• Builds valve packages for workholding products from assembly drawings by assembling components to specifications.
• Makes hydraulic hoses and stainless steel hose assemblies for workholding packages by measuring, cutting, and assembling parts.
• Prepares packages for shipment, boxing, skidding, shrink-wrapping, and banding; operates forklift as needed.
• Provides on-site and telephone technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
