Job summary

Lexicon Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Technician to assemble mechanical components per drawings and BOM, and to handle pneumatic assemblies and testing. The role includes troubleshooting, subassembly work, and participation in debuggable production of automation equipment.

You will read GD&T, use common hand and power tools, and work with CAD systems to modify drawings. On-site installation and customer interaction are possible as part of service work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical technician experience in high tech assembly.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.
• Experience with GD&T is a plus.
• Proficient with basic hand and power tools and measurement tools.
• Experience with machine shop practices and CNC tools is desirable.
• Able to use CAD systems to create or modify drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components per drawings and BOM.
• Assemble and test pneumatic components and systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/pneumatic issues and implement fixes.
• Plan assembly sequence for complex subsystems to optimize cost and delivery.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines for parts fabrication.
• Assist in de-bug phase and contribute to design problem solving.
• Inspect incoming parts for quality and conformance to print.
• Assist in installation and service at customer sites.
