Job summary

Staybridge Suites Midland is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee hotel operations, guest services, and departmental coordination in the General Manager’s absence. The role demands leadership across departments, financial awareness, and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring at least five years of progressive hotel experience with supervisory leadership, plus certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and coordinating with the GM.
• Proactively spot challenges and implement solutions to keep daily operations smooth.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop employees through ongoing programs.
• Listen actively to colleagues and guests to ensure clear communication.
• Work with financial data to support hotel operations and cost control.
• Utilize Windows OS for reporting and management tasks.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as a leadership example.
• Deliver hospitality with a friendly, service-focused attitude to guests and staff.

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage), or a four-year degree with 2–3 years, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
