Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking an experienced station operations leader in Chicago to manage aircraft movements, cargo handling, and ramp activities while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with customers, vendors, and airport authorities, optimize costs, and drive performance across multiple locations.

The role requires strong leadership, vendor management, and hands-on experience in ground and cargo operations, with a focus on service excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of extensive airline operational experience.
• Experience in cargo/passenger service operations preferred.
• Ability to pass company training in relevant areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve overall station operation to support all business units.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective station performance.
• Oversee Cargo terminal operations, aircraft movement, and loading/unloading.
• Lead vendor interactions and ensure training on company requirements.
• Monitor contracts and service level agreements with vendors.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and airport authorities on issues.
• Prepare SOPs and manage inventory for station operations.
• Serve as signatory and coordinate airport/customs activities when needed.
• Manage budgets and control station costs while processing invoices.
