Job summary

American Food & Vending in Leawood, Kansas is seeking a Station Cook to set up, prepare, and serve menu items across Grill, Pizza, Deli, Salad Bar, Seasonal, and Specialty stations, delivering a memorable dining experience for guests.

You will follow safety standards, keep temperature logs, restock supplies, set up and break down stations, and provide friendly, efficient service while collaborating with team members.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality/food service experience.
• Basic knife skills a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Self-motivated and eager to take on additional roles.
• Dedication to excellence in hospitality and great dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Follow standards to prepare and serve menu offerings for designated station(s).
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations while following safety standards.
• Serve food and goods per guest specifications.
• Store foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Retain temperature logs and production records efficiently.
• Keep supplies replenished, restock coolers, and take inventory as directed.
• Set-up and breakdown stations, clean and sanitize equipment and utensils.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Focus on customer satisfaction through excellent service to guests, clients, and team members.
• Communicate professionally and clearly.
• Be efficient and organized.
• May operate POS to complete orders and pack take-out items.
• May be assigned other duties as needed.
