Job summary

American Food & Vending in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Station Cook for the American Dining Creations team. You will set up, prepare, and serve menu items across Grill, Pizza, Deli, Salad Bar, Seasonal, and Specialty stations to delight guests.

The role emphasizes hospitality, accuracy, and clean procedures; you’ll work in a team, maintain safety standards, and may operate the POS for orders and to-go items.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality/food service experience.
• Basic knife skills a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Self-motivated and eager to take on additional roles.
• Dedication to excellence in hospitality and great dining.
• Ability to cross train and use multiple skills.
• Safety and detail oriented.
• Lift up to 30 lbs; stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve menu offerings for designated station(s).
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays between stations safely.
• Serve food and to-go items per guest specifications.
• Store foods with proper wrapping, dating, and rotation.
• Retain temperature logs and production records.
• Restock supplies and take inventory as directed.
• Set up and break down stations; sanitize equipment and utensils.
• Adhere to state and local food safety regulations.
• Maintain customer satisfaction with professional service.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• May operate POS to complete orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary: A Station Cook with American Dining Creations ensures exceptional dining through the set up, preparation, and serving of menu offerings to our guests. Stations may include Grill, Pizza, Deli, SaladBar, Seasonal, and Specialty menu items. By providing outstanding service, a smile, and amazing food,our Station Cooks create a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Follow standards to prepare and serve menu offerings for designated station(s).
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator inaccordance with established safety standards.
• Serve food and any goods per guest specifications.
• Stores foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotationprocedures.
• Retains temperature logs and production records in an efficient manner.
• Keep supplies replenished, may restock coolers, and take inventory as directed.
• Set-up and breakdown stations, clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, dishes for designatedworkstation.
• Adhere to all state and local food production, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Remain focused on customer satisfaction through providing excellent service to all guests,clients, and team members.
• Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner.
• Be efficient and organized.
• May operate POS to complete orders, and package “to go” items.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.
