Job summary

The State of Louisiana is seeking an IT statewide applications senior developer to provide strategic management consulting, planning and QA for LaWorks. You will guide business requirements, write data element definitions and support web-based systems across multiple departments.

The role emphasizes project management, technical analysis, and change control, with on-site duties in the Baton Rouge area and opportunities for career progression within the Division of Administration/OTS.

Qualifications

• Five years of IT experience or equivalent with project management
• Bachelor’s degree with three years IT experience or related substitution rules
• Master’s degree with two years IT experience preferred
• Experience with LaWorks applications and QA processes desired

Responsibilities

• Performs management consulting, planning, program analysis, QA, resource and project management for LaWorks applications
• Performs business analysis, develops business impact statements, and prepares and maintains specifications
• Provides program analysis, planning, QA, and development for all web-based LaWorks systems
• Ensures IT work aligns with OTS standards and tracks project status for leadership
• Assesses organizational structures and processes to determine short and long-range IT needs
• Develops and oversees QA processes and change management governance
• Supports Louisiana Unemployment Insurance - Benefits Payment System maintenance
• Performs other tasks and special projects as directed
