Job summary

State of Louisiana's Office of Technology Services (OTS) AppDM Section is hiring an application developer to analyze, design, develop, implement and support IT systems for the Department of Corrections. You will collaborate with partner agencies, OTS personnel, and vendors to modernize applications using the OTS technology stack.

The role involves working with executive management to ensure consistent IT service delivery, and may require travel to other locations with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of information technology experience OR six years of full-time work experience in any field.
• An associate's degree in information technology OR a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience substitution: every 30 semester hours earned counts as one year towards the six years requirement (max 120 semester hours).
• A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs, modifies and documents applications using the OTS stack per AppDM standards.
• Meets with users to determine project needs and provides system support; evaluates requests for changes and impacts on existing systems.
