Job summary

State of Minnesota is hiring an Energy Manager to lead the development and coordination of the DCT Energy Management and Sustainability Program across all department facilities. You will drive energy efficiency initiatives, oversee retro-commissioning projects, and ensure decisions align with state policies.

The role requires a professional with a background in engineering, energy or sustainability, and prefer LEED-AP or CEM credentials.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working in facility construction or facility management with HVAC and/or electrical service.
• Experience applying project management principles and methods including planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating project activities.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices as it pertains to construction and/or construction operations.
• Communication and analytical skills sufficient to analyze data and present complex information to diverse audiences.
• Experience with computer systems and software applications, such as Microsoft Office and Excel, to create, maintain, and analyze documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate the DCT Energy Management and Sustainability Program for all department facilities.
• Lead statewide energy efficiency initiatives aligned with state sustainability goals and policies.
• Coordinate with facilities and operations teams to advance energy reduction strategies.
• Ensure compliance with state laws, policies, and Governor’s Executive Orders.
