Job summary

Aventura Healthcare Group's Walton Hills facility is hiring State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs). This part-time, PRN, and full-time role supports residents with daily living activities and mobility while delivering compassionate care.

You will record vital signs, assist with meals, maintain clean, safe rooms, and follow care plans under the supervision of licensed staff. Valid STNA cert and CPR preferred; 6+ months in long-term care beneficial.

Qualifications

• Valid STNA certification in the state of employment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 6+ months of experience in long-term care or assisted living.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents and perform job-related tasks.
• Current CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, positioning, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
• Answer call lights promptly and provide needed assistance.
• Help residents with meals, including tray setup and feeding assistance.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Keep resident rooms clean, organized, and safe.
• Provide respectful, compassionate care in accordance with resident care plans.
• Follow facility policies, state regulations, and infection control protocols.
• Participate in in-service training and continuing education as required.
